Maceió, August 9, 2019 - Braskem learned about the decision of the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) that allowed the unblock of money in the approximate amount of R$ 3.7 billion, conditioned to the submission of a new insurance guarantee in the same amount to be offered to the court.

The company keeps collaborating with the authorities, conducting technical and scientific studies and activities to understand the geological phenomena occurred in each of the districts affected and looking for the best solution to ensure the safety of people. 

Braskem reaffirms its responsible conduct and commitment with Alagoas, where it has been operating for more than 40 years.
