Olefins and aromatics are basic petrochemicals of great importance to the petrochemical chain. Produced at Braskem crackers, Olefins & Aromatics products are widely used in the chemical industry as base materials for essential sectors of the economy.
Olefins:
Ethene, green ethene, propylene, butadiene, butene-1, C4 chain, methane, heavy polymer.
Aromatics:
Benzene, cumene, toluene, xylene, paraxylene, ortho-xylene, low sulfur oil.
How we produce
At our petrochemical plants, the raw material goes through a cracking process, where the basic petrochemicals are produced. Besides domestic consumption as raw materials to produce thermoplastic resins, Braskem chemical products are sold on the market in different value chains such as automobile, packaging, textiles, construction, hygiene and cleaning, and household appliances, among others.
