Brazilian Paralympic Committee

In an effort to reinforce its mission of improving people's lives by creating sustainable solutions in chemistry and plastics, Braskem is an official sponsor of the Brazilian Paralympic Athletics Team and the Brazilian Paralympic Committee.

Since 2015, we have been working with Paralympic athletes, because we know that our efforts in innovating the plastic used in prostheses make them lighter and more comfortable, and this helps athletes' performance.

Circular economy

Braskem is committed to supporting growth in recycling everywhere it operates as well as actions that advance the circular economy, that is, we design, produce, use, recycle, recover or reuse plastics.

AS SUCH, WE SUPPORT INITIATIVES THAT ADDRESS CONSCIOUS CONSUMPTION, LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT OF PLASTICS, PROPER DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING.

Ibirapuera Park

We have partnered up with the most popular park in São Paulo to help make it the most sustainable in Latin America. Through the Recycling Center and campaigns to raise awareness, we promote the proper disposal of waste to optimize recycling.

Rock in Rio 2022

At one of the biggest music festivals in the country, Braskem demonstrated that transforming plastic is rock 'n roll. We encouraged fans to properly dispose of plastic, and they were given opportunities to win prizes for their recycling efforts.

The Town 2023

Braskem was present at the debut of The Town, a musical and cultural festival run by the creators of Rock in Rio, to show that sustainability is a hit. We encouraged conscious consumption, proper disposal and the recycling of plastic.

Lollapalooza 2022 and 2023

Braskem sponsored one of the biggest music festivals in Latin America, Lolla BR, promoting the proper disposal and recycling of plastic during the events in 2022 and 2023. The crowds attending the festival properly disposed of over 129,000 pieces of plastic waste, while also wining prizes and helping to recycle.

Popload 2022

At a festival that gathers the top performers in the independent music scene, we were able to interact with visitors on the proper disposal and recycling of plastic. Braskem set the stage for recycling by providing an initiative to exchange plastic waste for giveaways.

Masp

The São Paulo Museum of Art (MASP) has been presented with the challenge of becoming a more sustainable museum, and Braskem supports this initiative. We have improved waste management by installing new garbage cans and ensuring that waste is properly disposed of and recycled.

Blue Keepers

The Global Compact initiative assembles companies from a wide range of sectors to take on the challenge of the seas, with Braskem an active participant in this movement. It includes joint coordination and a focus on waste management.

Tamar Cultural Project

Tamar Cultural provides cultural programming to museums. Sponsored by Braskem through the Federal Culture Incentive Law, it also promotes environmental education and ensures that all waste generated is properly disposed.

TV Cultura

TV Cultura, partnered with Braskem, produced a series of educational videos that emphasize the importance of recycling and explain the role each person has in building a more sustainable future.

Ethos conference

The Ethos Conference discusses solutions to local and global challenges related to sustainable development in a joint coordination between companies, entities and organizations from civil society, government and academia.

Brazilian business council for sustainable development - CEBDS

The sponsorship of the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development highlights the importance of joint involvement of various actors in the quest for sustainable development solutions.

Combating climate change

Braskem intends to be a global leader in the industry in terms of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and removing carbon through the production of materials using renewable raw material.

Chemistry olympics

Held annually, the Olympiad brings together high school students from schools throughout the state of São Paulo to raise interest in chemistry and address its contributions to society. Braskem is one of the sponsors, as it values knowledge and believes in the power of young people to transform.

ANPEI Conference

The ANPEI Innovation Conference is the biggest event dedicated to Research, Development and Innovation in Brazil. It brings together around 3,000 participants annually, including large companies, government, development institutions, investors, entrepreneurs and professionals from different areas who somehow interact with the innovation ecosystem.

International Innovation Congress

It attracts people from all over the world seeking solutions and sharing experiences on the latest in eco-innovation, a trend responsible for new parameters of sustainability and competitiveness for the industrial and business sectors.

ABRE Congress

In order to contribute to solutions for the packaging market, we support the Congress of the Brazilian Packaging Association (ABRE), which fosters innovations, development and competitiveness in the segment.

Competitiveness Seminar

We sponsor the Competitiveness Seminar to boost innovation and sustainability initiatives in the plastics sector, in addition to publishing content on the material in major markets.

Annual Meeting of the Latin American Petrochemical and Chemical Association (APLA)

Through conferences held by leading consulting firms, we sponsor the event that is a benchmark in the petrochemical market and addresses the most relevant trends in the sector.

Annual Meeting of the Chemical Industry (ENAIQ)

Aiming for the ongoing development of the chain, we are sponsors of the Meeting with the goal of encouraging debates and publicizing data on the performance of the chemical industry to various sectors and agents of the national industry.

Braskem is committed to promoting and developing the chemical and plastic sector, ensuring comprehensive safety and health; ethics and governance; business strategy.
This is an important reason for why we sponsor initiatives that promote the development of the company's products, markets and value chain.

Sponsorship:

Transfer of financial resources from Braskem to legal entities, with or without the use of tax incentives, in order to carry out projects or events for commercial, technical and/or brand promotion purposes. Donation:

Money, goods, equipment or services provided to organizations that bring clear and verifiable socio-environmental benefit to specific audiences, but without necessarily bringing direct benefit in return for Braskem Donations can be made with or without the use of tax incentives. Our decisions are governed by the Corporate Guidelines for Sponsorships and Donations, which cover investments using direct and incentivized funds.

Themes: Circular economy; global agenda for sustainability; innovation and generation of knowledge; engagement with the chemical and plastic sector.

Target audience: Braskem's market and/or chains of action; surrounding communities and region; academic community; society and opinion makers.

Locations: Regions where Braskem has industrial units and commercial offices. Duque de Caxias (RJ), Cubatão, Mauá, Paulínia, Santo André, São Paulo (SP), Bebedouro, Maceió and Marechal Deodoro (AL), Camaçari, Candeias, Dias d'Ávila and Salvador (BA), Montenegro, Nova Santa Rita, Porto Alegre and Triunfo (RS).

Restrictions

Braskem does not support projects that:

  • Promote political parties, politicians or religions.
  • Promote violence, crime, drugs, sex, animal cruelty and/or poor environmental practices.
  • Are not aligned with the values of transparency, integrity and ethics.
  • Are on behalf of individuals. Only organizations may be supported.
  • Promote professional artists or bands.
  • Do not follow the application and review process submitted by the form provided here.
