Pet Support Program
Created to support families assisted by the Financial Compensation and Relocation Support Program (PCF), the Animal Support Program was developed by Braskem in partnership with the Equine Research and Integrative Health Group at the Federal University of Alagoas (GRUPEQUI-UFAL).
The program provided temporary shelter (during relocation or while residents stayed in temporary housing), spay and neuter procedures, veterinary treatment, vaccinations, and transportation assistance on moving day.
In addition to residents’ dogs and cats, stray animals were also assisted through sterilization efforts, return-to-area or adoption placement strategies, health monitoring, and population control measures. These initiatives are scientifically recognized as effective for public health and animal welfare.

Adoption forms and photos of pets available for adoption can be found on the program’s Instagram profile.
All animals listed are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and dewormed.
The program provides free transportation for adopted animals to their new homes. The initiative also promotes educational campaigns on responsible pet ownership.
