Financial Compensation Program Reaches 19,140 Accepted Offers Through May

Maceió, June 10, 2026 - The Financial Compensation and Relocation Assistance Program (PCF) presented 19,205 compensation offers to residents of the relocation areas, representing 99.9% of all claims received through the end of May. Of this total, 19,140 (99.7%) were accepted, and compensation payments have already been made in 19,128 cases (99.6%). The difference between the number of offers presented and accepted is due to the time families are given to review the amounts offered or request a reassessment.

Including compensation payments and financial assistance, the program has paid a total of BRL 4.25 billion since its creation in 2019.

The support team continues to review reassessment requests and assist residents who have not yet provided all required documentation to receive compensation. The goal of the PCF is to ensure that all residents covered by the Program receive compensation as quickly as possible.

The risk area (Criticality Level 00) identified on the Civil Defense map released in 2020 has been fully vacated.

Ongoing Care for the Neighborhoods

The affected areas of Pinheiro, Bebedouro, Mutange, Bom Parto, and Farol continue to receive maintenance services, property security, and continuous ground monitoring through one of the most advanced monitoring networks in the country. This allows even very small ground movements to be detected, enabling preventive measures to be taken when necessary.

Social, environmental, and urban development initiatives are also ongoing, in accordance with the plan agreed upon with authorities and widely discussed with the community. These actions are intended to compensate for, mitigate, and address the impacts of relocation in the affected neighborhoods.

Vacated Areas

Braskem also remains committed to not developing the vacated areas for commercial or residential purposes (including factories, retail establishments, homes, residential complexes, and other uses) for as long as the effects of the ground subsidence persist. Any future change to this determination by the authorities would first need to be approved through the Municipality's Master Plan, a planning instrument that is broadly discussed and reviewed by society.

Updated data on the Financial Compensation and Relocation Assistance Program are included in the monitoring report submitted monthly to the authorities* and can be accessed here .
