MARC O’POLO becomes the first European lingerie label to introduce SUGARCUP® into its Bodywear collection, with a plan to launch in 2027. Developed by Fullstride and brought to market through Corsina (a subsidiary of Triumph International), the solution embeds sustainability directly into product design.
SUGARCUP® was developed to meet these exacting requirements. Produced using I’m green™ bio‑based EVA, the solution replaces conventional fossil‑based EVA with a renewable feedstock derived from responsibly sourced sugarcane ethanol.
The result is a high‑performance bra cup that delivers the comfort, resilience, and lightweight durability consumers expect from premium lingerie—while contributing to a reduced carbon footprint compared to traditional materials.
“Consumers increasingly expect sustainability to be built into products,” said Caroline Levy, Fullstride. “SUGARCUP® shows bio-based materials can meet the technical demands of lingerie while offering a more responsible alternative.”
Corsina’s development reflects a shift toward material-led innovation – integrating sustainability at the earliest stages. Scaling such solutions requires time and collaboration, and the 2027 timeline highlights a long-term commitment to transformation.
“Progress happens when brands, innovators, and material partners move together,” said Roger Marchioni – Global Commercial, Supply & Feedstock Director for I'm green™ bio-based. “This collaboration demonstrates how sustainability can be embedded into product development in a credible and scalable way.”
By bringing together material expertise, product development, and manufacturing, partners are accelerating the adoption of bio-based solutions in fashion. I’m green™ bio-based plays a central role by enabling scalable, lower-impact materials compatible with existing production systems.
This initiative shows how renewable materials can meet industry demands – helping shape the future of lingerie where performance and sustainability go hand in hand.
