Commemorative album of the 15th Porto Alegre em Cena and the schedule for the festival will be launched on May 20.
The publication recovers the history of one of the main theater festivals in Latin America and pays tribute to the great characters who have participated in its trajectory.
The acting-related community in the State of Rio Grande de Sul will meet on May 20 for the release of the first commemorative album and the program of "15 Porto Alegre em Cena", one of the greatest acting festivals in Latin America. The event will start at 6pm at the Foyer of Theatro São Pedro and will have the presence of authorities and journalists linked with the cultural area.
The album will be released to celebrate the festival’s 15 years and will be fully sponsored by Braskem. It will bring a retrospective of "15 Porto Alegre em Cena" history and show the great personalities that have participated in it. The three thousand albums of this publication will be freely distributed to acting schools, acting companies, libraries and the Division of Culture.
For the third year in a row, Braskem will also be the festival’s sponsor and will grant the "Prêmio Braskem em Cena" (Em Cena Braskem Award), intended to promote the artists from Rio Grande do Sul. The award evaluates the following categories: Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Director, besides the Best Show, according to the technical jury and the public jury. The winners receive cash awards.
Soon after the cocktail, at 9pm, the play: "The Private Diary of Adam and Eve", with China Zorrilla and Carlos Perciavalle, showing the intimate meeting of Adam and Eve with humor and informality. The actress, who was in movie "Elsa & Fred", participated in the "Porto Alegre Em Cena" in 2007 with the play: "The Way to Mecca ".
The Acting International Festival "Porto Alegre Em Cena" is celebrating its 15th year, with the special edition that will last 27 days, which will be the longest of its history. The event will start on September 2 with a concert of American Laurie Anderson. The event closing will be on September 28, with an outdoor presentation of Spokfrevo Orquestra, from the State of Pernambuco.
