Braskem wins Corporate Governance Award in Spain
Braskem won the most important corporate governance award granted to Latin American companies that trade on the Latibex - a segment that lists Latin American companies on the Spanish Stock Exchange.
The award is granted by Affinitas, a Latin American office alliance that assessed a total of 583 companies registered for the award.
The award ceremony was held in Madrid on November 22 during the 9th Latibex Forum, which gathered more than 70 Iberian-American companies.
The jury (comprised of the main representatives from Affinitas member offices) took into account shareholder rights, equal treatment, the function of interest groups, communication and transparency and the responsibility of the Board of Directors, among other aspects.
