Braskem’s Half Marathon Relay which will be held for the fourth consecutive year in the city of Salvador on September 30 at the Barra/Ondina circuit with the start and finish line at Farol da Barra. The athletes can participate in the event in the following categories: handicapped athletes, men’s, women’s and mixed duo, men’s, women’s and mixed foursome, for Braskem associates and the public in general.

The athletes can register until September 25 on the site www.maratonabraskem.com.br, or at the Centauro stores at the Barra, Salvador and Iguatemi malls, and the Bahian Track and Field Federation (FBA) in Salvador. The registration fee is R$ 35 per athlete.
The event is one of the most competitive of its kind in the nation, and this year, it will receive nearly 3500 participants, including athletes from the FilaQuênia, Quênia, Pé de Vento teams of Rio de Janeiro and Cruzeiro of Minas Gerais. During the route, all of the participants will be equipped with an electronic chip to verify race time. At the end of the route, the marathon runners will receive a snack kit and can consult with physical therapists and have massage sessions in the shade of the tents near Farol da Barra.

The Braskem Half Marathon Relay will distribute more than R$ 60 thousand in prizes. It is already part of the international race calendar and meets all the requirements of the National Street Race Committee, the Brazilian Track and Field Confederation (CBA) and the international entities that discipline the sport in the world. One of these demands is obligatory drug testing.
