For the second consecutive year, Braskem sponsors the International Marathon of Porto Alegre, the biggest and the most traditional championship in the segment in Rio Grande do Sul. The competition will take place in Rio Grande do Sul’s capital city on the May 27. On the same date, the 2nd Braskem Alternative Marathon will take place, a competition open to the population that will count on the participation of 67 Braskem’s integrants.

The Marathon’s program is composed of three different characteristic competitions: the International Marathon, 42,195m long, usually disputed by professional runners; the "Rústica" of Porto Alegre, 10-kilometer long, a run recommended to amateur athletes; and the 2nd Braskem Alternative Marathon, a 42,195-long complete circuit that can be run by two, four or eight participants.
