Brazil's agricultural sector accounts for no less than 20% of the country's GDP and is responsible for creating 37% of its jobs. That's why plastics and chemicals applications for the agricultural sector represent one of Braskem's main businesses. We invest regularly in developing new solutions and technologies to support advances in agriculture.

Braskem's portfolio offers various solutions for companies engaged in a wide range of agricultural activities. Solutions in polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) are used, for example, in enclosed cultivation, protecting and storing crops, irrigation and infrastructure. Meanwhile, the applications of Braskem's line of solvents include pesticides and herbicides, vegetable oil production and ethanol dehydration.
