BRASKEM PROXESS

Braskem’s new high-performance polyethylene brand was presented in May 2015 and is designed to meet the high demands of the market for flexible packages. Braskem Proxess combines versatility and high productivity, adapting well to different processing machinery and providing good stability during production, combined with an excellent performance of the film in its final application. They are indicated for the segments of food packaging, industrial sacks, and agricultural films.

UNILENE®

Braskem’s hydrocarbon resin is used in the production of high-performance rubber compounds, adhesives, and paints. Its main feature is improving the properties of products, providing technical and economic advantages. Its applications include tires, shoe soles, rubber products, wood varnishes, paints, adhesives, etc. Braskem is the only producer of this type of resin in Latin America and exports over 5,000 metric tons every year to more than 20 countries.

PIB – Polyisobutene

Braskem PIB (polyisobutylene) is a liquid, clear and transparent synthetic polymer. It is a versatile product, with excellent chemical stability, light and oxidation resistance at moderate temperatures. Braskem offers a broad range of PIB grades which make them suitable to several market segments. Main applications include lubricants and waxes where PIB is used as a base oil and/or additive in the formulations. Its non-toxicity and an H-1 NSF certification make it suitable for highly demanding applications as packaging. PIB’s unique characteristics allow for its use in a great number of other applications such as cosmetics, adhesives, sealants, and thermal insulation.
