Last year, Braskem launched the pilot project for Sustainable Internal Logistics, by replacing the LPG-driven stackers with similar electrical models on the packing and shipment area of the PE6 unit, in Triunfo. After replacing seven vehicles in one year, the company has ceased emitting 130 tons of CO2 (the same pollution generated by 20 cars used daily for 4 hours in the same period). According to the estimates, 43 tons of gas would have been consumed. In addition to a clean and renewable fuel, electricity is more economic than LPG. Braskem would have spent R$ 37,440 with gas per year; with electricity, the cost is reduced to R$ 1,424.
