Press Note: Form 20-F

Braskem may trade once gain on the Nova York Stock Exchange. The company filed its Form 20-F for fiscal year 2018 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and as such is duly registered for trading on the U.S. stock exchange.

Braskem may trade once gain on the Nova York Stock Exchange. This Thursday (17), the company filed its Form 20-F for fiscal year 2018 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and as such is duly registered for trading on the U.S. stock exchange.

The Form 20-F is a document that foreign companies with shares listed on U.S. stock exchanges must file with the country's regulatory authorities. The Brazilian petrochemical company had delayed the filing of the forms for fiscal years 2017 and 2018, given the need to conduct additional procedures and analysis on its internal processes and controls. Because of the delay, the New York Stock Exchange delisted the company in May, i.e. prevented the company from trading. After the delisting, the company's assets were traded in the over-the-counter market.

At the start of the month, Braskem filed its report for 2017. Now, with the filing of the document for 2018, it may resume trading on the U.S. stock exchange.
