Braskem, the largest petrochemical company in the Americas and the world's leading biopolymer producer, will launch four new products in the rigid packaging segment for chemical and agrochemical products. The new solutions, which are aligned with the company's commitment to the Circular Economy , will be introduced to the market during Feiplastic 2019 , Latin America's largest plastic trade fair, which is being held from April 22 to 26, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo city. 

The new products are from the Braskem Rigeo^TM  family, a brand launched in 2017 to unify Braskem's robust portfolio in rigid polyethylenes. The solutions include two resins for making plastic containers used to transport and store chemicals and pesticides. The solutions were developed to strengthen the industry's main requirements: stiffness, impact strength and chemical resistance. When balanced, these properties offer the chemical and agrochemical segments' most valued aspect: safety. 

In addition to raw materials for containers, Braskem also will launch at Feiplastic 2019 resins for making drums and Internal Bulk Containers (IBCS), which are used to transport and store fluids and materials in bulk in large volumes (200 to 1,000 liters). These new resins offer better performance in terms of chemical impact and resistance, without foregoing stiffness and stacking capacity. 

According to Júlio Lottermann, manager of Polyethylene Application Engineering at Braskem, the advances offered by the four new solutions also enables packaging producers to explore new frontiers in design and in optimizing raw material use, without risking the critical aspects of safety and competitiveness. "In terms of packaging, the chemical and agrochemical market is highly demanding. Our priority always has been to deliver products that prioritize safety, but we also strive to offer our clients the possibility of innovating and standing apart in their market segment," said Lottermann. 

Another advantage of Braskem's portfolio is that all products are 100% recyclable.
